S4 E17: The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps

Monte Mast is the Executive Director of The Cavaliers AP&E, Inc, the parent organization of The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, Chromium Winds, King Cobras Drumline, and GearWorks Educational Programs located in Rosemont, IL.  Prior to joining The Cavaliers in 2019, Monte Mast spent 12 years as the Director of Fine Arts for the 50,000+ student Klein Independent School District in Klein, Texas where he oversaw the band, orchestra, choral, elementary music, theatre arts, dance, and visual art programs for the district’s 5 high schools, 10 intermediates, and 31 elementaries. Prior to this appointment in June 2007, Monte held the position Fine Arts Program Coordinator in Klein ISD and was a Band Director at Klein Oak HS. He also has taught at Calallen ISD and Coventry Local (OH). 

 

Christopher Drew Dickey serves as Associate Director of the Longhorn Band and on the conducting faculty of the Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Wind Conducting. In addition to this appointment, Mr. Dickey serves as the Brass Caption Coordinator with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Rosemont, Illinois. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Dickey held positions at The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University, the Anderson School District 5 District Office, and Southwood Academy of the Arts. He also served as a Graduate Conducting Associate with the Louisiana State University Department of Bands and has spent many years as an educator and administrator in the South Carolina public schools.
