S5 E3: Leah Hanley
Leah Elaine Hanley is a New York City Department of Education music teacher. In her 15+ years teaching in the Bronx, she has taught Strings, Music Technology, and Core Music for grades K-8. Mrs. Hanley is the founding and current director of the Salute to Music Bronx Orchestra and the orchestra program at M.S. 180 in Co-op City. Her leadership roles include Lead Mentor for the Paul Simon Fellows Program as well as Facilitator for Connected Arts Network and City-wide Music. Mrs. Hanley’s academic interests include music teacher mentorship, development of CR-SE music curriculum and the role of instructional technology in teaching and learning music. Leah lives in Harlem with her gorgeous husband and enjoys a good brunch, a walk in the park, and performing as a violinist with the great musicians in NYC.
