Hyperscore is a music composition program designed to unlock students' creativity, regardless of their level of prior music experience.

How it Works
The Hyperscore Interface

Melody Window
An intuitive editor where students create thematic elements - "motives" - which can then be used as compositional building blocks

Harmony Line
Hyperscore's Harmony Line is one of the application's most powerful features - student bend  and shape it to provide harmonic structure to their composition

Motive Loop Visual Feedback
The Strokes in the Sketch Window clearly indicate where motives loop, improving compositional precision

Sketch Window
Students can start compositions by simply drawing lines. Each line is color-coded to correspond to the associated Motive

Instrument Sounds
Students can access a broad range of instrument sounds, including string, guitar, piano, percussion, and more! Each sketched line can be assigned an instrument sound to create varied and complex instrumentation

Volume and Tempo Control
Volume and tempo controls allow students to create dynamic and rhythmic variety

Percussion Window
A multi-track editor to quickly and easily create complex drumbeats

Polyphonic Mode
Students can utilize  the polyphonic mode in the Melody Window to create multi-voice melodies and chords

Music Library
A library of musical materials (percussion, bass, accompaniment, and melodic motives) helps students explore musical genres and get started on their own pieces

Time Signature and Grid Options
Students can specify time signatures and precisely control the snapping accuracy within the meter grid

Built-in Documentation
Built-in User Guide and Composition Tutorial makes learning to use Hyperscore easy and fun!

Erase Tool and Stroke Editing
Students can easily draw, re-draw, cut, and erase lines in their compositions
