Dr. Keith Dye has served as Senior Educational Consultant since 2014. His current responsibility is leading Fine Arts Assessment by MusicFirst, an assessment platform used by Texas school districts for their fine arts teachers as a part of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program.
A resident of Texas, Dr. Dye’s history in music education includes over 20 years as a highly successful public school band director, 15 years as a university band director and music education professor, and 8 years as a university administrator. He served as the president of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) in 2015-2016 and as a member of the TMEA Executive Board from 2011-2016. He was named Professor Emeritus of Music Education at Texas Tech University in 2023.
