Elementary Content Specialist
Dr. Mary Birkner holds a Ph.D. in music education from the University of Florida, a Master of Music in flute performance from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University with a double major in music and education. With MusicFirst, Mary has the pleasure of helping develop music curricula for elementary music classes. Prior to this role, Dr. Birkner served as USA Curriculum Advisor for Charanga, Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Music at the University of Florida, and taught general music for grades K-5 in Michigan, grades K-2 in Texas, choir for grades 5-6 in Texas, and preschool music in Florida.
